Outstanding food quality and very quick service seem to be the forte of this restaurant. I had the falafel plate. It was very good however there was no tahini sauce. That certainly would have made it even better. Very unique restaurant tucked in the back of a jewelry store and the diamond district. Definitely a No frills kind of place but the food is really good.
I had been going here for lunch regularly for a lot of years, but now only occasionally since I retired. The food today is still very good and reasonably priced. I always get the vegetarian plate with falafel, baba ganous, grape leaves and hummus. I get this plate because each item is great. If you are downtown, go to Oasis. It will become a regular place to go for you too.
I recently had lunch special Veggie Combo meal from Oasis Cafe and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The Mediterranean dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, and the portion sizes were generous. The ordering process was quick and easy, and my food was ready for pickup in a timely manner. Overall, I would definitely recommend Oasis Cafe for anyone looking for a quick delicious Mediterranean cuisine on the go.
If i could give it 6 stars out of 5 i would. I went for (late) lunch, almost 4pm, and got the fattoush and the combo mixed platter. Both were absolutely delicious. The hummus was super fresh, and everything tasted like it is truly supposed to taste. The food was ready fast, and the portions were giant (had to take a bunch of leftovers home, and I am so looking forward to eat them later) I would totally come back to this place, without a doubt PD: the photos are kinda trash but i was starving so i only remembered to take pictures once i was halfway through the meal lol
This place is indeed an oasis among unhealthy or overpriced food scenes in the area. The food is indeed delicious with generous portion at the reasonable price. The falafel is indeed crispy, the side veggie dishes are on point, and the chicken stew simply fell of the bones effortlessly. Highly recommended if you are craving Mediterranean food: not fancy but authentic and worth your money!
Hole in the wall set inside a Jewelry Store. Good eats for cheap in the heart of Downtown Chicago. Great place to go for lunch save a little bit of money and have an non-Instagram chicago experience. Place was super crowded with workers on their lunch.
This place is located in the back of a jewelry store and it was amazing. I happened to notice the sign in front of the jewelers and we are so glad we decided to go in. The food was delicious, super fresh ingredients and you can taste the food was made with genuine passion. Our favorite dish had to be the hummus and falafel you could taste how fresh the ingredients were and overall to die for!
Best Mediterranean food ever! So authentic and fresh! Service is SUPER FAST. Lunch hour gets busy but you’re in & out. The prices are unbeatable and the staff is super sweet. The hummus is amazinggg, I always crave it! Highly recommend any dish, I personally always do check kebab.
